Multiecuscan Multiplexed Activation

PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE THE FIRMWARE OF THE CANTIECAR!!! The update may damage the device!

A. Install drivers

A.1. Connect the CANtieCAR interface to the computer with the USB cable. Do not connect it to a car at this point.
A.4. Install the drivers for the CANtieCAR. The drivers are located on the USB flash drive of the CANtieCAR interface (the CANtieCAR works as USB flash drive when connected to the USB port of computer).
Windows 10/11 has its own drivers and should install them automatically. On Windows 10/11 there is no need for additional drivers as it has built-in drivers and installs them automatically when you connect the interface to the USB port.
If you have Windows 8 then please note that the installation of unsigned drivers is a little tricky on Windows 8/8.1 for security reasons. There are plenty of guides on internet how to install unsigned drives in Windows 8/8.1.

B. Activate Multiecuscan Multiplexed license online

B.1. Go to https://www.multiecuscan.net/RegisterMultiplexed.aspx
B.2. Enter you name, email, CANtieCAR serial number and click “Get License”
After successful activation you will receive an email with the License Key for Multiecuscan Multiplexed.

C. Install Multiecuscan 5.4

C.1. The installation file for latest version of Multiecuscan is located on the USB flash drive of the CANtieCAR interface.
Please note that if you do not install the latest version then the license will not work correctly.
C.2. Start Multiecuscan and click the blue “REGISTER” button to open the registration window.
C.3. Enter the License Key and click Activate (the CANtieCAR interface should be connected to the USB port during the activation).
After this Multiecuscan will restart and the message on top will be “Multiecuscan X.X MULTIPLEXED”. Everything should work fine now. There is no need to make additional configuration of the interface in Multiecuscan as it will automatically identify the CANtieCAR interface during the activation.

Configure and use with Bluetooth

1. Connect the CANtieCAR to a computer with the USB cable.
2. Execute SWITCH_CANtieCAR_TO_BT (on the flash drive) to switch the CANtieCAR interface to Bluetooth mode
3. Disconnect USB and connect the CANtieCAR to a car (the interface needs to be powered from the OBD port of the car)
4. Pair with Windows' Bluetooth. The Bluetooth device name should be CANtieCAR_WTCxxxx and the pairing code is 5678
5. Start Multiecuscan and try to connect to any module in the car. It will automatically detect the paired Bluetooth interface and there is no need for additional configuration.
6. After this you will be able to use the CANtieCAR with either Bluetooth or USB in Multiecuscan.

Configure and use with WiFi

1. Connect the CANtieCAR to a computer with the USB cable.
2. Execute SWITCH_CANtieCAR_TO_WIFI (on the flash drive) to switch the CANtieCAR interface to WiFi mode
3. Disconnect USB and connect the CANtieCAR to a car (the interface needs to be powered from the OBD port of the car)
4. Connect to CANtieCAR_WTCxxxx WiFi hotspot. The password is 456789ABCDEF
5. Start Multiecuscan and try to connect to any module in the car. It will automatically detect the WiFi interface and there is no need for additional configuration.
6. After this you will be able to use the CANtieCAR with either WiFi or USB in Multiecuscan.
