Try changing the COM port and then reboot. It once did the trick for me. I always got an error when connecting to the engine with baud rate 38400 and it always connects to all the other modules just fine. The ABS Module needs Adapter 1 in order to successfully connect to it. For the engine, I observed that ELM had trouble connecting at 38400 baud and I was only successful at connecting at 9600 baud rate. Try that.

I was wondering if I enable the on-screen display for the parking sensors, do I need to do the Proxi Alignment (I know I am supposed to, but I am asking anyway).
