Have you tried e-mailing support@multiecuscan.net to see if the program is designed to do what you want. They should also be able to advise what the response of a correctly functioning but unregistered installation should be. I use a registered copy with a suitably modified PIC based "ELM327&qu...

Looking at your picture, I have the same unit. The problem is R04, a 120 ohm resistor across pins 6 and 7 of the 2551 CAN interface chip. I flipped one end up with a soldering iron (so one end still attached in case I ever want to put it back) and it works fine now.
