Uconnect is paired not with the cars VIN number but with the radios serial number. To get uconnect live working again you need to contact uconnect support.
Did ecodrive start working for you? I have so many problems with getting ecodrive and carplay to work...

For Fiat 500 (not X/L): 1. Hardware differs between CarPlay and non-CarPlay units. Carplay units have the GPS connector at the back and the GPS antenna is mounted in the car. 2. Proxi config differs (I am still trying to get mine to fully cooperate with me). 3. After changing the unit, the "new...
