I have bought following chinese ELM327 cable (see the photo), I removed the R04 resistor and then successfully connected to the engine unit of my Lancia Lybra 1.8. But my main goal is to connect to the airbags unit and erase dashboard light which appeared after recent changing of battery. I couldnt see in the list of cars that airbag unit of my car is supported by any of ELM cables, but I have seen some pin changing tutorials (here or at some other internet forums) and I have to admit that this airbag unit cable topic is little bit messy for me. So I am asking, is there any way how to connect to the airbag unit with attached ELM cable? Using some cable reduction, switching some pins, or whatever...? Or do I have to buy extra KKL cable for that purpose?
Thanks
Anyone have any ideas as to where I can even start?MattBrera wrote:Hi Eddy,
I've bought a cheap cable from ebay - and its showing all OK on the tests, but when I try to connect to the car, I'm not having much luck.
I've got an Alfa Brera v6.
I'm not able to connect to any of the CAN bus interface.
The cable is showing as v1.5.
Any help would be appreciated - Thanks in advance.
