				Hello lonerunner
After your first contribution I have assumed that you have already established a connection, but no CAN connection get.
Unfortunately, I have to ask the same questions again and again.
Always an absolute test should always be done
With you a setting error or the wrong driver was installed?
First, you need an error test, then you can go on
Greeting Eddy

				hello there...
i have this elm v1.5a
from what i saw posts above with someone that has PCB like mine, is to remove R04 underneath white plastic...
i removed r04 but i still have conneciton problem (i can connect to ecu and the parameters...but after 30seconds connection disconect).
bit rate is 38400 on FES and com port settings.
i have all tests ok in interface tests on FES...
another IMPORTANT question that i haven't found the answer, with this "hardware changes" on ours Elm327 interfaces, will afect the normal procedure of the interface while using on other protocols (scanmaster for exemple)??
this is my pcb (i have this cable for about 3/4 years)

Hi Alfaeddy,
The driver is correct and interface works in ScanMaster with other car brand tested (with Seat)
The error like on the image i posted appears in multiecuscan, and none ScanMaster, and multiecuscan can't connect to my car Alfa Romeo.
I did removed resistor like you posted in the image but it's the same i still don't have connection to the car, and multiecuscan fails in test. So i guess this interface won't work at all.

				Hello lonerunner
Your interface test shows that this ELM may not be compatible with Multiecuscan.
Unfortunately, it is often the case when the version v1.5 in ATZ and ATI is displayed the interface as not with MES functional.
Unfortunately, this statement is not universally valid
There are also v1.5 interface which work problem-free

				Hi,
I currently have a bluetooth Vgate ODB Scan tool whic I was was using on my last car. I now have a Ducato 2.2, type 250, and reading this thread, it looks like my scanner will not be able to access all functions of my van, even if I mod it. Has anyone seen a compatable bluetooth scanner? The ebay links in previous posts are outof date.
Thanks..
