Early 250 Ducato models only needed basic ELM support for the Instrument panel. Later models require adapter A3

250 Facelift and 290 model
Ducato (type 250) : Instrument Panel Marelli |INFO|DTC|DTC EX|PRM|ACT|ADJ| ELM
Ducato (type 250) Facelift : Instrument Panel Marelli |INFO|DTC|DTC EX|PRM|ACT|ADJ| ELM | A3
Ducato (type 290) : Instrument Panel Marelli |INFO|DTC|DTC EX|PRM|ACT|ADJ| ELM | A3

MES will not prompt for adapter A3 if you select your earlier 250 model.

In MES select try selecting the 250 Facelift or 290 model.

				Sorry to hear this.

I must leave this to others now who are probably far more experienced than me in using MES with "out of normal configuration" operations and connections.

Thinking about this I suspect that your vehicle does not have the wiring to support the later instrument panel.

same cluster connectors don't mean pin out is the same on old and new clusters. check wiring diagrams.
