reset steering angle

hello,
I do a reset steering angle, I can see that you can do is entering the unit housing to GUIDE, is entering the ABS control unit.
if within the abs unit fails to finish the procedure.
while in the ECU electronic guide me reset the angle of the third, but I did not understand if I do the procedure properly.
notes say to initiate the procedure, turn the steering wheel all the way right and then left, but as the startup procedure resets immediately and tells me to turn off the key.
