Multiecuscan

Multiecuscan says that my Alfa 156 2,5L have Motronic ME3.1 control module. Is only ME2.1 available on freeware and ME3.1 is in licenced version? I tried first with ME2.1 and the program told that ecu has a ME3.1. Could you confirm that ME3.1 is not available on freeware. I am little sceptic with Alfa + OBD, too many setbacks for a short time.

You need to read carefully and check engine size, cylinders and year. There are a number of Alfa 156 2.5l models so you have to be sure you have identified YOUR exact model.

Yes I have and that's what I wonder because mine is 2003 2,5L V6 and multiecuscan says that it's 3.0L V6?
Also the option to choose 2,5LV6 disappeared from the menu after I got message from SW.
