I have used various versions of MES with Mac computers over the years.
Other Mac users may find this info on my current configuration of value:
A late 2017 version MacBookPro running High Sierra, Parallels Desktop 13 and Windows 7.
Multiscan 3.9 Multiplexed with cantiecar 4.2
and because the latest MacBook has only USB-C, a USB-C to USB adaptor.
I was a bit apprehensive that I'd still have MES working when I changed my Mac and changed to MES Multiplexed a month ago.
Some difficulties with selecting the right drivers, but no big issues.

Re: MES use with Mac Computer
Here's my (mostly, so far) working setup, just started with it today:
2015 Macbook Pro running Mojave
Windows 10 in VirtualBox (with Guest Additions installed in Win 10)
'iDiagnostics' branded UBS wired adaptors - the full set but so far only using the ELM.
Have read and cleared faults.
Have logged/graphed a large range of parameters (engine management module) and exported the CSV.
Proxi Alignment failed to execute. Tried 2x. Will probably need to play with timings.
