2020 ducato has no SGW?
2020 ducato has no SGW?
Hi
is anyone able to confirm if my 2020 reg plate (feb 2021 manufacture) actually has no SGW? it’s 2.3 multijet, ad blu.
i’ve stripped the dash and the glove box area has no physical module.
i’ve connected using a Vgate vlinker MC+ to multiecuscan5.3R2 direct to OBD (free version) and the scan DTC report doesn’t mention anything about SGW.
also tried alfaobd and this won’t connect to an SGW module.
does this mean my van is without?
i need to know, because i want to buy a cruise control OEM stalk second hand, but don’t want to waste money if i can’t add it via proxy alignment… and also don’t want to buy a SGW adapter if i don’t even need it!
but all the info points to me needing one…
also, is the MC+ bluetooth a suitable adapter for my needs? or should i return it and get a USB one (which brand?) as i read i shouldn’t use BT for proxy align. though this was the one which Gendan UK supply…
see photos of my two (free) scans.
thanks

SGW
====
Some later models of the Ducato (and other vehicles) have the SGW integrated into the Body Computer (BCM) and there is no external module that can be bypassed.

hi mate.. yes i’m aware of that, but if that was the case would the DTU scan list that it has an SGW? how would i know its built into the BCM?
Re: 2020 ducato has no SGW?
you can always try by running some tests like turning on lights - if it allows to do it, then no SGW is present.

Exactly what Shpuncik says. The 2020 manufactory date Ducato (2.3, 9hp gearbox, adblue) from our company doesn't have an SGW.

I have the same issue that i cannot find the SGW.
Does this mean the ducato has no SGW and I can modificatie things or does it mean it has een intergrated one that can not be bypassed and only can be programmed with a SGW license key?
Does this mean i cannot use Multiecuscan for my Ducato?

I,ve read the Posts but with the free version I cannot test it
To buy a license and then discover that it doesn’t work is not what I prefer
Can someone explain me how I can test it to make sure it works before I buy the license?

Rankman.
