Alfa GT JTD Q2 Odometer value too low

Post by rydergaming »

Hi everyone!

Yesterday I went to take a look at an Alfa GT JTD that has around 58100 kms on the dashboard.

Plugging in the latest version of MES and checking the Odometer parameter it showed 4700 kms. I know the ECU reading is supposed to be around 3% lower than the one on the dashboard, but this is 90% lower.

Number of ECU Reprogramming is 0 and when checking the DPF values, the last regeneration date was around 57700 km average regen distances is around 450 kms

What could be the cause of this low reading from the Odometer parameter?

Thank you in advance,
Steve

Have you checked all the other ECUs like Service, ABS, Body, others. Some of these also contain a mileage reading.

On my Croma 2005 EDC16C39 ECU there was always an unexplained difference between it's odometer value and that of the dashboard.

Can't recall the magnitude of the difference.

No, I was unaware that there are other places to check the milage as well. But from what I saw, the GT JTD uses the same Bosch controller so it tracks.
