Blue and Me Punto Easy 1.4 8v 2012

The car in question has the usual flashing odometer but proxy realignment fails when using Multiecuscan . I was wondering how interchangeable the units are? I have found a vehicle of the same age in my local car breakers but it is a Multi-Air Turbo engine so unsure if the unit is suitable? At this stage I haven't checked the info label on either vehicle, just exploring options.
The car belongs to a student so a rebuild of the old unit is out of the question due to cost. Any help greatly appreciated.
(Unfortunately I haven't made a note of the error message but from memory it included "telemetry " and "missing node")

You can remove the plug and then perform an proxy allignment. Blue plug above glove box I believe in the punto.

Thanks for the advice, I'll risk buying the B&M unit from the breakers.
