Car in question Fiat Punto 2012 1.4 8v
Having connected Multiecuscan in a failed attempt to stop the odometer flashing I now have the above error code which is “ engine torque signal from injection control unit” . The error did not exist prior to connecting so must have been caused by the B&M failed proxies alignment. The problem seems to have been raised in the last but no successful solution. Does anyone have a solution as the Mot looms large and the abs light is on !!. Cheers folks

Re: Error C1212-55 Fiat Punto
Just something else to add
When I checked in the engine data it was set as 1.3 multi jet (which it isn’t ) so I changed this to what it actually is I.e 1.4 8v
If I change it back will it cause any other issues?

Having contacted MES direct for advice It was recommended to return the engine type to its original setting although it seems wrong. Having done this and then a Proxi realignment the problem is fixed. Note to future self : don’t just change something because it look wrong!!
