Proxy alignment Giulia - failed

Post by giulia93 »

Hi,

I have a problem with the proxy alignment on my 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia 2.2 diesel, and I would appreciate your help.

I was attempting to remove race mode and have a proxy alignment backup from before I installed it 2 years ago with Multiecuscan 4.8. The difference should be only in byte 88, however Multiecuscan 5.0 reads the following proxy alignment and reports it as aligned(but it is different in the bytes 8,9,10,11, not only byte 88):

It starts with this sequence:
30 34 36 32 30 31 30 33 37 34 39 ..

So I changed only the byte 88 to AC, but it fails.

When I restore the backup from 2 years ago, it also fails:
30 34 36 32 30 31 30 36 31 33 34 ..

The proxy alignment fails with a timeout only on the following modules:
- Left Blind Spot Sensor Node (LBSS) ->EOL failed
- Right Blind Spot Sensor Node (RBSS) ->EOL failed
- Entertainment Multimedia Control Module (EMCM) ->EOL failed

Two questions:
1. What the bolded bytes 8, 9, 10 and 11 represent?
2. What could cause the timeout on these modules? The car is fully OEM and equipped with LBSS, RBSS — no aftermarket additions.

Thanks

After an failed proxy, you can press on a PDF logo in the MultiEcuScan home screen. (bottom right corner). Upload that please

Thanks
bytes 6-11 are checksum - don't touch those.
redo proxi until it successfuly finishes on blind spot and ETM module.
