Can't connect to ECU????? AR GTV V6

Hi everyone, great forum what I have seen so far

I have been trying to connect to my GTV V6 to read the fault codes, but can't. I have followed the instructions as per the website. When I have it all plugged in (VAG COM USB OBD2 KKL Interface) and click scan I get the following:

Engine
Bosch Motronic ME 2.1 (2.5 V6, 3.0 V6)
ISO Code: FB 86 86 97 73

But when I click connect it tells me to check the cable and port setting as it can't connect to the ecu - which are as per the website instructions

Any ideas
