Hi,
why I can't use free version with my g.punto?
I haven't seen this limitation in comparison table beetwen freeware vs commercial version.

Fiat G.Punto ECU with free version
Re: Fiat G.Punto ECU with free version
You can use the free version - you can use it to run CAN info and check that it communicates with your car.
If you want to be able to diagnose several systems on the car, reset your service lights, perform proxi alignment, or any of the other functions that a Fiat dealer would charge you at least an hour's labour to do, then yes you have to pay less than 50 Euros for a license.
Hardly excessive is it?

My issue is not about cost of License. The software is very good.
My problem is that with 3.2 version (free) I can't do anything... When I try to connect to ECU G.punto, the software shown that Registered version is needed, and return to home page.
With Fiat 600 it work properly.

Re: Fiat G.Punto ECU with free version
If you look at the Supported Vehicles List on the website (or actually at the listings in the software), any module listed in red requires the registered version to access it.
If you select the Body controller and choose CAN info, it should work ok as that is listed in black.
Coverage for new models like the Grande Punto and Fiat 500 has only recently been added in, after considerable work by Yani, which I would imagine is why they are for registered users only.
So you get the older models for free - the newer ones you need to pay for.
