Elm 327 1.5a

Hello to all on forum,

I found many posts about elm 327 but I didn't found solution for my problem

. I have above mentioned elm327 interface (chinese clone, inside is 1.2 version).
My question is can I upgrade it to a 1.3 version and how.

For me it is cheaper to buy ELM ver. 1.3 than to modify old ver. 1.2!
Price for ver. 1.3 is between 15USD and 20USD!

ELM 327 v1.5a which I know are all v1.3 clones, despite the v1.2 markings on the PCB.

yes but only in some cases! in other cases when it is written ver. 1.5a it it ver. 1.2a!
