When I do a search in MES for available components I only get the motor and selespeed gear box, but from what I can see from the website almost all the components of a stilo selespeed should be available with an ELM interface.
What am I doing wrong?

The error is in your ELM interface and even some other errors
- Your ELM is certainly one of the trade? (Amazon, Ebay, etc.)
these often need to be modified. to the CAN bus to read logs

- To be able to read ABS, steering and Xenon lights you will need an green adapter

Thanks for the reply! 
Actually I bought my ELM at a dealer who only deals in diagnostics tools for cars.
From what I can read the resistor modification is only needed if the interface doesn't work at all, but mine connects to both the engine and gearbox.
Shouldn't I be able to connect to the Marelli Climate Control Unit without any adapters?

I opened up my ELM today and found that the termination resistor was of course wrong, so i removed it and, voila, everything worked
